‘Passionate’ is the word that comes to mind when I think about my business, GRAY MORTGAGE. We really believe in what we do, our integrity & reliability with the service we provide and our determination in achieving our goals.
We don’t trust the banks in providing customers with the best possible outcome or the right advice because most of the time customers are sitting down with bank staff that have been in the lending role for 10 minutes, not over 10 years as we have.
We are suspicious of real estate agents and although I would highly recommend the ones we deal with, simply because we won’t deal with unscrupulous people and that is across the range of professionals we would recommend, the vast majority do not necessary have your interests at heart.
We do however love our clients. We love that they put their trust in us when they are making some of the most important decisions of their lives. We love that we offer them a dedicated service, not frequently offered in this day and age, with their interest’s front and centre. We do this by providing them with professional and qualified advice and access to an expansive range of lenders as well as ongoing availability and support. We punch the air when we get their hard deals over the line and fight tooth and nail when we believe that they are entitled to and should receive the finance they require to make their plans real.

S. J. Gray & Associates Pty Ltd (trading as GRAY MORTGAGE) was established in September 2000.
The business originally sub-contracted to Loansite Pty Ltd in Toorak before branching out on it’s own in October 2001 at which time it entered into an Aggregation agreement with Finance & Systems Technology Pty Ltd (F.A.S.T.), a relationship that both companies have enjoyed for over 10 years and which gives Gray Mortgage access to over 26 Residential Mortgage Lenders including all of the Major Banks; ANZ, Commonwealth, National Australia Bank and Westpac as well as other Lenders such as; Bank of Melbourne, AMP, Heritage Building Society, La Trobe and Macquarie Bank. Interstate Lenders including; Bankwest, Adelaide Bank, IMB (Illawarra Mutual Building Society) and Suncorp as well as International Lenders; Citibank, HSBC (Hong Kong Shanghai Bank) and ING.
GRAY MORTGAGE can also provide assistance with Non Conforming Loans via Australian First Mortgage, Liberty and Pepper Home Loans and Commercial Loans via most of the Residential Lenders it holds accreditations with.
GRAY MORTGAGE also has access to other forms of Finance such as Vehicle and Equipment Finance via ANZ Asset Finance, Commonwealth Asset Finance, Macquarie Leasing and Westpac Leasing as well as valuable insurance products to assist with Property Purchases such as Deposit Bonds via Deposit Power (Vero Insurance).
GRAY MORTGAGE operates in accordance with the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP) as a Corporate Credit Representative (CCR) under BLSSA Pty Ltd, Australian Credit Licence (ACL) holder. This requires GRAY MORTGAGE to not only act compliantly within the NCCP including ensuring Responsible Lending practices, client Dispute Resolution procedures and membership with an External Dispute Resolution entity (Credit Ombudsman Service Limited – C.O.S.L.) as well as adequate Professional Indemnity Insurance but also that that in maintains extensive and ongoing Professional Development.

Simon commenced Finance Broking in September 2000 and became one of the first three Victorian Finance Brokers to join Finance & Systems Technology Pty Ltd (F.A.S.T.).
Simon is recognized as a National Consumer Credit Protection Act (N.C.C.P.) Authorised Credit Representative and a Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (M.F.A.A.) Credit Advisor.
Simon also holds the highest industry qualification, being Diploma in Financial Services (Finance / Mortgage Broking Management) FNS50504.
Simon has extensive knowledge in Residential and Commercial Mortgages as well as Property Acquisition, Residential Dwelling Construction and Mortgage Refinance procedures including accurate finance and contribution requirements.
